*A minimum participation of two (2) events is required to participate in the SCGA 4-Ball Qualifier Tournament in May.

** A minimum participation of three (3) events is required to participate in the Two-Day Club Championship Tournament in August.

The Sterling Hills Men’s Club is chartered by the Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) and is affiliated directly with Sterling Hills Golf Club. The club is open to all men at least 18 years old.

Men’s club members receive 10% off merchandise in the golf shop and discounted green fees. Members also receive an SCGA member number to post scores and develop a handicap for tournament play and to measure progress, bi-monthly SCGA FORE magazine, an annual list of all Southern California courses and discounts at various retailers and courses.

SHMC generally plays its tournaments on the first Saturday of the month. Occasionally we play on Sunday (the Club Championship, for example, is a two-day event on Sat-Sun). The first tee time is around 8:00 and members sign up with the pro shop staff via phone call or in person by Wednesday of the week of the tournament. Tournament formats vary, but are always enjoyable. We also have skins and closie contests with every tournament for an additional buy in; these are not required.

Since we are an SCGA club, we send representatives to some of the SCGA events such as the 2-man best ball and Tournament of Club Champions.
