A minimum of three tournaments played in 2012 Prior to the Club Championship is required to be eligible to win any of the Flights of the Club Championship.
At the members' request, The Board of Directors and The Tournament Director have scheduled TWO away tournaments for 2012. The dates are confirmed, and the formats are yet to be determined. An informational E-mail will be sent out with additional details regarding the formats of the day. All formats are subject to change. The change in tournament formats reflects input from members to the survey completed in 2011.

The Sterling Hills Men’s Club is chartered by the Southern California Golf Association (SCGA) and is affiliated directly with Sterling Hills Golf Club. The club is open to all persons at least 18 years old.

Men’s Club members receive 10% off merchandise in the golf shop and discounted green fees during the week. Members also receive an SCGA/GHIN member number to post scores and establish a handicap for tournament play and to measure progress, bi-monthly SCGA FORE magazine, the annual list of all Southern California courses published by the SCGA; and discounts at various retailers and courses.

The SHMC generally plays its tournaments on the first weekend of the month. The Club Championship is a two-day event on Sat-Sun in August. The first tee time of our monthly tournaments are usually around 8:00 am and members sign up via E-mail to the Tournament Director a minimum of 8 days prior to the tournament. Tournament formats vary, but are always enjoyable. We also have numerous side games available to enhance your tournament round for an additional buy in; these are not required.

Since we are an SCGA affiliated Men’s Club, we send representatives to some of the SCGA events such as the SCGA Four-Ball Championship and and Tournament of Club Champions.
